Libuňka natural monument
The source of the Libuňka River can be found on the western slope of Kozlov hill (606 m above sea level). The typical features of the land include meanders and riverbank growths forming habitats for several endangered species such as the kingfisher and water ouzel. The protected section covers about a 2½ km stretch of the river and Libuňka riverbanks between Ktová and Borek.
Rokytnický pond
The pond was built in the 16th century as part of a pond system in former marshlands and flooded meadows. Today the pond is used for fish breeding and recreation.
Vidlák marshland
A unique wetland and one of the most precious localities within Bohemian Paradise. The marshland itself was made a nature reserve in 1979 and covers an area of approximately 3.8 ha. The locality is also interesting from the hydrologic point of view, as it forms two catchment areas, the Libuňka catchment in the north and the Žehrovka catchment in the south. Tourists can buy refreshments and put up tents on the bank and swim in the river.
Věžák
The locality Věžák pond´s is one of the most precious within Bohemian Paradise. The unique rocky bank protruding directly from the pond surface has inspired many film makers. The pond is reserved for recreational purposes.
Trosky
The strange ruins of what was once a Gothic castle, founded at the end of the 14th century by the Vartenberks family, has become the main symbol of Bohemian Paradise. The Baba and Panna towers (Old Hag and Virgin) offer beautiful views of the picturesque Bohemian Paradise landscape and the surrounding regions. The castle was built on a former volcano. In July and August visitors can see not only the castle but also examples of breeding and training of birds of prey.
